All of our Wagon Wheels are made with locally-raised beef from our own cows raised just 20 minutes from our beef jerky plant! We keep every part of the process local, ensuring that our beef jerky is made of the highest quality fresh beef.
We wanted to bring beef jerky back to the basics with Wagon Wheels, keeping the Wild West in mind for rustic simplicity. Wagon Wheels only have a few simple ingredients in addition to our locally-raised beef. This natural beef jerky is mainly seasoned with brown sugar and sea salt, with additional spices and flavors depending on which flavor it is. Doing this, we avoid using any soy ingredients, including in our teriyaki Wagon Wheels.
Soy Free Teriyaki Beef Jerky
Teriyaki sauce is typically made with soy sauce, which obviously contains soy. Many teriyaki beef jerkies, therefore, contain soy. However, we make our teriyaki beef jerky soy free by using brown sugar, pineapple juice, and a little vinegar, lemon juice, and sea salt to create a delicious teriyaki flavor.
We know it can be hard for those with allergies or other aversions to soy to find teriyaki flavored snacks they can enjoy safely, and we are happy to be able to offer a soy-free teriyaki jerky. Incidentally, soy sauce also contains gluten and so gluten free teriyaki jerky can be equally hard to find! Like the rest of our Wagon Wheels, our Teriyaki Wagon Wheels are gluten free in addition to being soy free.
